When it came to camping this year, we decided to skip all the hard work and just go for the hot dogs and s’mores! Aimee put together a little trip with the Ahlgrens and the Sandersons at Mt. Madonna. We joined them for the evening, then headed home to our own beds. When we first got there, Andy took some of the kids on a little hike. They played around in the huge tree trunks (a fond childhood memory for me) and climbed any trees they could get into. After the hot dogs and s’mores, we sang a few campfire songs at Jeffrey’s request. Then Glen taught our kids the torpedo skit and they performed it for us (a few times!). Thanks Glen for being such a fun Uncle. Eden spent most of the evening sleeping in the car. I was surprised at how late our other kids were able to stay up with out getting too grouchy. We had a good time with everyone. Thanks for letting our kids entertain you all.

Eden’s Blessing
Andy blessed Eden at church today. We had so many friends and family members come to be with us on this special day for her. She was quiet and peaceful during the blessing, throughout the whole day actually. That is typical for her, she is a very mellow little girl. She wore Alexis’ blessing dress that was made from material and lace leftover from my wedding dress. Thanks to all who could make it. We love living by so many of you, and missed those that are farther away.
Bella was blessed today also-

Baseball Season Comes to an End
Jeffrey and Tyler played on the same team this year, the Cardinals. We figured that would be the only way to make it to all the games and practices since I was having a baby. They had their first two games while we were in the hospital with Eden. We were lucky to have the Sauls and Grandma Anne close by to help out. After a few weeks at home, I was able to get out and see a few games before the season ended. The boys had lots of family and friends come to see them at different games. They love having fans in the crowd. Here’s a photo summary of the season:
Best Friends
Some of our very best friends are about to move! We took them out to dinner to celebrate the fact that they’re leaving (that’s for Dave)! We are going to miss them so much. How could you go and take those twins away when we haven’t even met them yet! Good luck Richards, we love you. =)

Swimming with Cousins
Emily and her girls were here for the weekend. We took the kids swimming at Aimee’s. I remember swimming with my cousins all summer when I was a kid. I’ll have to get some pictures of us swimming at Gram’s this summer. My kids all love the pool so much and they all do a really good job. I got a picture of Kate this time but Jeffrey must have been swimming too fast for the camera!

Tyler’s Piano Recital
Tyler has been taking piano lessons since January. This was his first performance ever and he was pretty nervous. He did great. We were all very proud of him. Kristi is such a great teacher, we love her. Alexis took lessons from her for a while last year and Jeffrey just started a few weeks ago. She is very talented and so good with the kids. They are getting so much more than just a piano lesson. She is so thorough with music theory. They are all going to have a great foundation in music.

Cute Babies
Belle (1 month), Eden (2 months) and Kingsley (1 month) were all born within 5 weeks of each other. Zeke (3 months) is only about a month older. They all have a brother or sister Nathan’s age too! It’ll be fun to watch these babies all grow up together.
