Jeffrey and Tyler played on the same team this year, the Cardinals. We figured that would be the only way to make it to all the games and practices since I was having a baby. They had their first two games while we were in the hospital with Eden. We were lucky to have the Sauls and Grandma Anne close by to help out. After a few weeks at home, I was able to get out and see a few games before the season ended. The boys had lots of family and friends come to see them at different games. They love having fans in the crowd. Here’s a photo summary of the season:

Baseball Season Comes to an End
Best Friends
Some of our very best friends are about to move! We took them out to dinner to celebrate the fact that they’re leaving (that’s for Dave)! We are going to miss them so much. How could you go and take those twins away when we haven’t even met them yet! Good luck Richards, we love you. =)

Swimming with Cousins
Emily and her girls were here for the weekend. We took the kids swimming at Aimee’s. I remember swimming with my cousins all summer when I was a kid. I’ll have to get some pictures of us swimming at Gram’s this summer. My kids all love the pool so much and they all do a really good job. I got a picture of Kate this time but Jeffrey must have been swimming too fast for the camera!

Tyler’s Piano Recital
Tyler has been taking piano lessons since January. This was his first performance ever and he was pretty nervous. He did great. We were all very proud of him. Kristi is such a great teacher, we love her. Alexis took lessons from her for a while last year and Jeffrey just started a few weeks ago. She is very talented and so good with the kids. They are getting so much more than just a piano lesson. She is so thorough with music theory. They are all going to have a great foundation in music.

Cute Babies
Belle (1 month), Eden (2 months) and Kingsley (1 month) were all born within 5 weeks of each other. Zeke (3 months) is only about a month older. They all have a brother or sister Nathan’s age too! It’ll be fun to watch these babies all grow up together.

Run for Fitness
We did the Run for Fitness again this year. It was pretty much the same as last year. I’m glad they love to run so much. This year they wore their baseball uniforms ’cause we had a busy day and were heading straight to a game afterward. They weren’t happy about it since it made them (according to Tyler) look “ridiculous”. Jeffrey decided to wear other shorts and just change fast in the car. Tyler wasn’t willing to do that because 1) he doesn’t wear those kind of shorts (they also make him look ridiculous), 2) he didn’t want to have to take his shoes off if he was going to change in a hurry and 3) he didn’t want to change in the car. I thought I’d mention all that in this post so that I could journal a little bit about Tyler and his clothes issues we are facing daily. Alexis and Jeffrey were never this opinionated about their clothes and especially their shoes. I guess I took it for granted. I thought it was just a phase but something tells me it’s just Tyler!

Packham’s Visit
It was so nice to see Seth and Aubrey and their cute boys. When they moved away they had two boys…now they have four. What a fun family. We have missed them and want them to move back! The kids all got along really well and the adults had a nice visit without much interruption. Pretty good considering that we have 15 (almost 17) kids all together! (Just for the record we have-Alexis Hale-11, Brevin Zollinger-10, Jeffrey Hale-8, Collin Packham-8, Grace Richards-8, Jeret Zollinger-7, Owen Packham-6, Tyler Hale-6, Mack Richards-5, Wesley Packham-4, Zack Zollinger-4, Afton Richards-3, Nathan Hale-22 months, Grady Packham-22 months, Eden Hale 2 months and this summer the Richards are having twins!) Thanks for the fun evening guys.
Thanks Zollingers for having us all over, you guys are great.
