Trying to do another update. I’m not saying I’ll get caught up this time but I can at least make a dent! Sorry for the old news.

Father’s Day Scavenger Hunt

Filed under: Hale — liz @ 10:45 pm

So we’re a little weird. What of it?

The 3 teams (assigned by Dad):

Krazy Komikazis

Here are my only action shots. First, Dad explaining the rules and second, a glimpse of the hunt. Sorry I didn’t take more, it was a little intense!

And the winners are…

Krazy Komikazis!

(and here you see Jeffrey was not too happy that he wasn’t on the winning team, so he quickly changed teams at the last minute.)

Hope all the Dads had a great, fun-filled day!

Campfire in Monterey

Filed under: Hale — liz @ 10:44 pm

Another pseudo-camping trip. This time we went with  Jerry, Debra, Jason & Angel Hale (Andy’s cousin). The kids spent a lot of time on the scooters and at the playground. We cooked our dinner and of coarse, roasted marshmallows.  It was a pretty chilly evening because of the coastal breeze. I tried to keep Eden as snuggly wrapped as I could.  Andy and Jerry tried to set up their tent but the wind was sooo strong they ended up giving up. Jerry & his family decided to head home when we did and call it good enough!

CTR Swim Party

Filed under: Hale — liz @ 8:18 pm

Tyler’s primary class earned a party.  Sister Kavil set up a deal with these little 6 year olds  .They decided it would be Christ-like to invite their brothers and sisters to enjoy their reward so we all had a fun time swimming and eating pizza together.  Thank you  Rani.  You are an awesome Primary teacher.  We  love you.

Here’s one of little Eden now almost 3 months old.  She is always so content to sit and watch the others.  She’s such a good baby.

Mt. Madonna

Filed under: Hale — liz @ 11:00 pm

When it came to camping this year, we decided to skip all the hard work and just go for the hot dogs and s’mores!  Aimee put together a little trip with the Ahlgrens and the Sandersons at Mt. Madonna.  We joined them for the evening, then headed home to our own beds.  When we first got there, Andy took some of the kids on a little hike.  They played around in the huge tree trunks (a fond childhood memory for me) and climbed any trees they could get into.  After the hot dogs and s’mores,  we sang a few campfire songs at Jeffrey’s request.  Then Glen taught our kids the torpedo skit and they performed it for us (a few times!).  Thanks Glen for being such a fun Uncle.  Eden spent most of the evening sleeping in the car.  I was surprised at how late our other  kids were able to stay up with out getting too grouchy.  We had a good time with everyone.  Thanks for letting our kids entertain you all.

Eden’s Blessing

Andy blessed Eden at church today.  We had so many friends and family members come to be with us on this special day for her.   She was quiet and peaceful during the blessing, throughout the whole day actually.  That is typical for her, she is a very mellow little girl.   She wore Alexis’ blessing dress that was made from material  and lace leftover from my wedding dress.  Thanks to all who could make it.  We love living by so many of you, and missed those that are farther away.

Bella was blessed today also-

Baseball Season Comes to an End

Filed under: Hale — liz @ 8:58 pm

Jeffrey and Tyler played on the same team this year, the Cardinals.  We figured that would be the only way to make it to all the games and practices since I was having a baby.  They had their first two games while we were in the hospital with Eden.  We were lucky to have the Sauls and Grandma Anne close by to help out.  After a few weeks at home, I was able to get out and see a few games before the season ended.  The boys  had lots of family and friends come to see them at different games.  They love having fans in the crowd.  Here’s a photo summary of the season:

Best Friends

Filed under: Hale — liz @ 12:40 pm

Some of our very best friends are about to move!    We took them out to dinner to celebrate the fact that they’re leaving  (that’s for Dave)!  We are going to miss them so much.  How could you go and take those twins away when we haven’t even met them yet!  Good luck Richards, we love you. =)
